Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of litra.pet (the "Site") and your purchase of products from Litra LLC ("Litra," "we," "us"). By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian, to place an order.

2. Products and pricing

We try to describe and display our products accurately, but colors, sizes and packaging may vary slightly. Prices are in U.S. dollars and may change at any time without notice. Pack pricing (such as 2-, 4- and 7-packs) reflects bundle discounts shown at checkout. We may limit quantities, and we may refuse or cancel any order, including for pricing errors, suspected fraud or product unavailability. If we cancel an order after payment, we will refund you in full.

3. Orders and payment

Placing an order is an offer to buy. An order is accepted when we send a shipping confirmation. You agree to provide accurate billing, shipping and contact information and to pay using a valid payment method. Taxes and shipping are shown at checkout.

4. Shipping and returns

Shipping and returns are governed by our Shipping Policy and Return and Refund Policy, which are part of these Terms.

5. Safe and proper use of products

Litra trays are intended only as disposable litter trays for cats. To use them safely, please:

  • Supervise your cat and discontinue use if your cat shows signs of illness, irritation or allergic reaction, and consult your veterinarian.
  • Keep trays, litter and adhesive strips away from young children and pets that may chew or swallow them. They are not toys and are not edible.
  • Follow the instructions on the product and packaging. Do not flush litter or the tray, and dispose of sealed trays in household trash according to local rules.
  • Stated lifespans (such as "up to 5 days") are estimates and depend on your cat and how often the tray is used.

6. Intellectual property

All content on the Site, including text, images, graphics, videos, product designs, logos and the Litra name, is owned by or licensed to Litra LLC and is protected by law. Litra® is a trademark of Litra LLC. Our fold-to-seal design is patent pending. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute or use our content or marks without our written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use of the Site.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Site, including by attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with its operation, scraping it by automated means without permission, introducing malicious code, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

8. Third-party links and services

The Site may link to or rely on third-party services (such as Shopify, Google Maps, social media and retailer websites). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party sites or services, including the products and information on retailer pages listed on our Where to Buy page.

9. Retailers and availability

Store listings on our Where to Buy page are provided for convenience. Availability, pricing and hours at third-party retailers are set by those retailers, and we do not guarantee that a store has Litra in stock.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and products are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Litra LLC and its owners, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Site or products. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site or a product will not exceed the amount you paid for the product at issue. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless Litra LLC from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Site or products.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, you agree to first contact us at contact@litra.pet and try to resolve the issue informally for at least 30 days.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on the Site, and the "Last updated" date will change. Your continued use of the Site means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Severability and entire agreement

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms, together with our Shipping, Return and Privacy policies, are the entire agreement between you and Litra regarding the Site and your purchases.
